SEO and copywriting in Perth

When someone searches Google for what you do, the first few results get the call. We do the work that moves your business up that page, and we write what people read when they get there.

An example search for “electrician joondalup”. Your business starts 11th, at the top of page two, and each step below moves it up.

Try another example search

The search is an example. The other results are stand-ins, and in real life the climb takes months. Each step below shows where your listing sits once that work is done.

  1. Where you stand

First we find out where you actually sit for the searches that bring in work, and why. Usually a handful of faults does most of the damage, like a page title that just says Home, or nothing that says where you work.

In the example: 11th, at the top of page two.

Core runs a technical health check. Foundation runs a full audit and researches 20 keywords.

  2. Google can read it

Before anything ranks, Google has to be able to find the page and make sense of it. That means Search Console, a sitemap, clean page addresses and structured data. It’s plumbing, and technical fixes can lift a site within weeks.

In the example: 8th, onto page one.

Core sets up Search Console and submits the sitemap. Foundation adds schema markup and robots.txt. Steady, Growth and Dominate keep watching it every month.

  3. It says what you do, and where

This is where SEO and copywriting meet. A result’s title and description are the first words anyone reads, so we write them the way people search, with the job and the suburb up front, and give people a reason to click.

    In the example: 5th.

Core rewrites the titles and descriptions on up to 3 pages. Foundation optimises up to 5 pages, and Growth and Dominate include all of Foundation.

  4. Pages for what people ask

People search with questions too, like what a job costs or how long it takes. A page that answers one plainly, near the top, keeps answering that search for years. The monthly plans add new ones every month.

    In the example: 3rd.

Steady writes one a month, Growth two and Dominate four.

  5. Other sites point to you

Google trusts a business that relevant sites mention, like a supplier or an industry body. For local searches, a complete Google Business Profile can do more than the website. Bought links get sites burned, so we don’t buy them.

    In the example: 1st.

Growth finds the link opportunities. Dominate builds the links and manages your Google Business Profile.

Nobody can promise you first place

What you just scrolled through takes months in real life, and some searches are much harder to win than others. So when people ask us for a guarantee, this is the answer, word for word from our SEO guide.

Do you guarantee first place on Google?

No, and nobody honestly can — Google’s results aren’t for sale to agencies. What we guarantee is the work: audits done, fixes shipped, content published, and a plain-English report showing exactly what changed and why.

From SEO in Perth, our guide to how we do it

Two lines on a phone

Whoever searches “electrician joondalup” has a job that needs doing and a phone in their hand. They’ll read a title and maybe half a description before they tap something.

Getting your business to the top of that screen is the SEO. Making those two lines worth tapping is the copywriting, so we do the two together.

The address
Words in it, not a page number. The job and the suburb, if the page is about them.
The title
The job and the place, in the words people search with, next to your name.
The description
What you do and where, then the next step, in a sentence or two.

What the audit turns up

The audit is a list of what’s holding the site back, written so you can read it, with who fixes each thing. This is one for the example business, before the work and after it.

None of it is clever. A page title that says Home, or a sitemap nobody sent to Google, is easy to fix once someone has looked.

An example with made-up findings. Yours lists what’s actually wrong with your site.

Worth reading

Words like “leading” and “quality” don’t tell a reader anything they can check, so we leave them out. We write plainly and lead with what you do and where. A claim stays in only if it’s true.

  • The answer goes first. If someone asks what it costs, the price is in the opening lines.
  • Every figure has a source. If a number can’t be traced, it comes out.
  • Plain words. If a reader has seen a phrase on ten other sites, it comes out.
  • Australian English. Written for the person on the other end of the search.

How much does a website cost in Perth?

Most Perth small businesses should budget $1,500–$2,500 for a website that earns its keep, plus a few hundred dollars a year to run it — or from $99 a month with hosting and maintenance handled. Pay much less and you’re usually buying a template with your name dropped in; pay much more only when the scope genuinely demands it.

Our answer, word for word, from the page it lives on, where the number is the first thing you read.

How long before SEO shows results?

Honestly: three to six months for meaningful movement, faster for low-competition local terms, slower for crowded ones. Technical fixes can lift things within weeks, but content and authority compound over months. Anyone promising page one in a fortnight is selling something else.

What’s local SEO, and do I need it?

Local SEO is winning the map pack and “near me” searches — Google Business Profile, reviews, suburb-relevant pages and consistent business details. If your customers are within driving distance of you, it’s usually the highest-value SEO work available.

Can I just do SEO myself?

Some of it, genuinely. Claim your Google Business Profile, collect reviews, write service pages in plain English — that’s free and effective. Where it gets technical (site speed, schema, crawl issues) or time-hungry (content, links), that’s what you’d hire us for.

Do you do SEO for sites you didn’t build?

Yes — most SEO clients arrive with an existing site. We audit whatever you have, WordPress included, and work with it. The only time we’ll suggest a rebuild is when the maths genuinely favours it, and we’ll show you that maths.

Start with what you’ve got.

Send the address of your site, or describe the page you wish you had. We’ll tell you what’s worth fixing first, and what it costs.
